Two Years Later: The Magic, the Moments, and the Meaning

Tomorrow marks our site’s second anniversary, and as we prepare to slice the anniversary cake, I’ve looked back to where we began - three undeniable truths have emerged;

  1. Change is constant
  2. People make the memories
    &
  3. Bounding is part of who I am
Anniversary cake for TheCB.Co

Change is Constant

Whether we’re talking about updates to Disney parks, social media trends, or the intricacies of a small business, change is a constant in our day-to-day.  When our site launched in 2024, my mindset was in the virtual world; our online store, blogs, and social media posts were how we’d interact. Yet as time passed, in-person experiences began to play a larger role. From participating in meet-ups at the parks to being a vendor at expos, Comic Cons, and festivals, the original plan changed.

Another area of change that comes to mind is the level of bounding that I do.  In 2024, my bounds were more subtle, whereas nowadays some are more dramatic than my previous choices.

Bounding does not have a wrong style; it can be as fancy or as comfy as you want. Yet the evolutions of my bounds are another example of how change is always happening.

People Make the Memories

I’ve said it before, and I will keep saying it, I’ve met AMAZING people through TheCB.Co.  Some are Cast Members, fellow bounders, influencers, cosplayers, small business owners, and while I’ve met them through the site, we’ve built friendships that I cherish. These past two years have been filled with fantastic people. They’re the ones who cheer you on, share in your excitement, and encourage others.
I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’ve met on this journey; they’ve shown the power of kindness and how small actions can have a big impact on others.

Bounding is a Part of Who I Am

My mind is constantly creating new bounds.  I can honestly say, a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think about bounding.

Its popularity continues to grow, as seen in the parks, on cruise ships, and at events. Each time I see someone bounding, it makes me smile. It’s allowing ourselves to be inspired by a character and then tap into our own creativity to build our ensembles. For me, bounding adds joy to my days, and I choose to embrace the joy.

So, there you have it: we’re two years in since the site launched, and while the journey is always changing, bounding remains constant. It’s a community filled with incredible people, and the magic, moments, and meaning make it a story worth sharing.
